Human Resources Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Organizational Development and Human Resources (ODHR)
Overview:
The Human Resources Assistant provides general operational and recruiting support for the Human Resources Department. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the development and maintenance of contact resources, ad placement, applicant screening, new employee orientation, maintenance of confidential employee records, completing required HR transactions and supporting the ODHR staff and projects. Supports compliance, Fraud & Abuse and HIPAA-Privacy related functions for Neighborhood. Assist with other functions as assigned by the Director of ODHR.
Qualifications:
Required:
· A high school degree, training/certification in secretarial and/or office administrative procedures preferred
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Intermediate / advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
· Basic knowledge of Microsoft Project and Publisher
· Typing speed of 60 wpm
· Excellent Customer Service Orientation
· Strong Interpersonal Skills
· Two years experience in an administrative, compliance and / or human resources rolePreferred:
· Bachelor degree
· Business writing experience
· Ability to work independently and in support of ODHR team
· Three or more years of experience in human resources, training, and/organizational development setting
· Previous experience with compliance, Fraud & Abuse and / or HIPAA- Privacy and Security
Duties and Responsibilities:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
· Processing, coordination and tracking of supplies orders, invoices, purchase orders and check requests
· Mailing, faxing, copying, other clerical activities
· Preparing, organizing and maintaining documents, files and electronic files
· Accomplishing queries, data collection and reporting with selected ODHR reporting tools, ADP / HRIS and other development / reporting tools (SuccessFactors / Novations / etc)
· Coordinating training and necessary materials for new hires
· Processing invoices from ODHR and compliance vendors
· Providing administrative support for the following ODHR and compliance functions (as prioritized by the Director of ODHR)

Benefits / benefits enrollment
· Participating in selected ODHR / NHPRI projects and teams
· Ensuring that activities related to the following areas of compliance oversight are accomplished
Management of the corporate P&P process
HIPAA privacy and Code of Conduct activities
Meetings compliance- and HIPAA Privacy-related expectations in contracts and external agreements
Providing administrative support for the Privacy and Security Review Team and the Data Disclosure Review Team
Coordinating with IS concerning HIPAA security issues
HR-related HEDIS /NCQA/URAC items
Compliance-, HIPAA- and Fraud and Abuse-related training and management of the selected portions of the ODHR training website
Annual re-certification for required programs (confidentiality, Code of Conduct, BCBSRI Rights and Responsibilities, etc.)
Preparing and tracking Business Associate Agreements
Accomplishment of contract-related compliance / HIPAA requirements
Completing ODHR-related functions resulting from internal and external audits
Contract management (compliance, HIPAA privacy)
Other compliance related activities
· Providing direct administrative support for the development/updating/review of ODHR and Compliance-related-P&Ps
· Other duties as assigned by Director of ODHR
