Washington Center for Aging Services (WCAS) is a government owned 259 bed long-term care nursing facility, located in North East, Washington D.C. The organization is managed under the direction of VMT Long Term Care Management Inc.
Scope of Position
Position is responsible providing exemplary administrative support to HR department and exceptional customer relations to WCAS clients through strategic partnerships with internal disciplines and external resources.
Brief Description of Duties
§ Provide administrative support and complete assignments in generalist environment that relate to all functional HR areas: strategic management,
workforce planning & employment, human resources development, total rewards, employee & labor relations, risk management
Core CompetenciesFamiliarity with applicable HR regulations and standard HR practices/procedures Computer literateType ~50wpm Ability to thrive in a high paced office environment with strict demands and tight deadlinesAbility to ensure confidentiality of PHI and other sensitive organizational dataHighly accurate, detail oriented with demonstrated organizational skillsAbility to effectively communicate utilizing diverse mediums across various levels and with assorted publics Self motivated, creative, and ability to demonstrate wide degree of initiativeAbility to work collectively with others and ability to function independently requiring minimal supervision
Minimum QualificationsHigh School Graduate, Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management or Finance strongly preferred. 1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably directly related to the providing HR support in a health care setting SHRM member preferred
