Home Infusion Pharmacist

Our client, a home infusion pharmacy, is actively seeking a qualified individual for a career opportunity in East LA, California.

Home Infusion/Retail - Staff Pharmacist Be a Registered Pharmacist with clinical experience, preferably research; Understand coverage writing and prior authorizations; Must be able to digest and navigate clinical studies to substantiate approve/denial claims Be able to research literature to find how current issue applies to coverage; Read therapy evaluation and translate it into how it fits into their medical coverage; Previous experience as clinical coordinator a big plus.  He/she will review and evaluate individual drug orders for efficacy, safety and cost. Document and manage the care provided to patients. Supervise the drug distribution operation and is responsible for assuring safe and efficient drug distribution and control system. He/She monitors drug therapy and offers cost effective alternatives, as appropriate. In addition, routinely communicates with physicians, nurses and patients regarding drug therapy, while contributing to the accomplishment of initiatives to improve the cost-effectiveness of drug therapy. Works variable shifts, including mornings, evenings and weekends as staffing needs require and as compliments the present clinical pharmacist. 

In-patient hospital experience is a necessity as well as JCAHO training.  IV experience is preferred.  NAPLEX is a plus.  Pharm D is preferred.






$50-$52/hour plus benefits.nation's capital Washington DC.
