Healthcare Project Coordinator

We have a new opening for a full-time ProjectCoordinator.  This position will beresponsible for the development, coordination and implementation ofcross-setting quality improvement projects associated with the hospitalsetting.  This includes collaboratingwith internal and external partners to implement quality improvement practicesusing evidence-based medicine, resulting in improved patient processes andoutcomes.  This exciting work willinclude working with a group of hospitals, home health agencies, nursing homes,and physicians to reduce avoidable hospital readmissions for patients.  The project also supports the hospitals withtheir quality improvement work focusing on SCIP, MRSA and pressure ulcers.

 

Requirements: Must be a registered nurse Must have one to three years nursing experience working in a hospital setting Should have solid experience in quality improvement, healthcare program development, implementation and management Excellent communication skills.  Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization Strong organizational and team building skills.  Must have the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced team environment.

 Additional experience preferred, but not required:

Experience working in multiple health care settings Experience with contract or project-based work Prior experience in a leadership role in public health or care coordination
