Health Promotion Specialist (Dietitian)

Job Description Imagine yourself making a difference in your community…Traveling to employers through-out the Fond du Lac, Oshkosh and Fox Valley area to promote health education programs. Imagine yourself…Working with a team of professionals to develop new programs for your customers. Providing educational counseling based on participants results and accurately recording screening information along with proper routing of all paperwork for processing. Also, providing recommendations on referrals to physicians as appropriate for follow-up treatment. Providing educational programs for employer customers (i.e., Smoking Cessation, CPR, Medic First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens and wellness education).Performing screening tests/procedures at the specific screening station, i.e., blood pressure, cholesterol, body composition, lab tests, or other testing. Preparing and maintaining a clean, safe, and fully stocked screening station.

General Qualifications
Must have one of the following:…Current certification as an Exercise Physiologist granted by the American College of Sports Medicine.
OR
Current certification as a Dietitian granted by the state of Wisconsin AND Current registration as a Dietitian granted by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
OR
Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license granted by the state of Wisconsin.
In addition we are looking for:… Knowledge of nursing, exercise physiology or dietetics equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regionally accredited bachelor's degree program. OR five years of progrssively responsible experience in the specialized area. Ability to comfortably and professionally present educational seminars in large groups. Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license with a good driving record, along with a vehical for transportation.

Desired Qualifications
Experiences in patient education and counseling and/or the treatment of heart disease preferred.
