POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analyzing and documenting business requirements. These requirements are then reviewed and provided to the development team. Multiple custom web-based applications are being supported.
General Responsibilities:
Working closely with all levels of end users, including executive level staff, to quickly prototype possible approaches to problems, and then implement the final solution. Gathering and performing thorough analyses of all the information available. Enhancing business processes when applicable. Creating and documenting the business requirements. Creating and managing project plans. Communicating with the development team to schedule development of system modifications and/or new modules. Perform testing to ensure requirements are met for system modifications or data extracts. Demonstrate leadership by coordinating the requirements, specifications, and user acceptance testing efforts. Extracting data on an as-needed basis.
Required Education & Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required; Master’s degree desirable. Minimum 3 years experience as a Business Analyst. Minimum 3 years progressive experience in Information Technology. Experience in healthcare or disease management industry a plus.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Extensive professional experience in data analysis and report design/development. In-depth knowledge and experience with relational database concepts and query tools. Sound knowledge of SQL and data extraction methodologies. Strong writing skills. Ability to work on large-scale projects with many diverse contributors. Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
