Learn more at www.multicarejobs.org Position Summary The incumbent is responsible for the processing of employee personnel and payroll records, primarily as they impact benefits plans and eligibility. This may include new hire paperwork, changes to on-line employee records, benefits adjustments, transfers, and termination paperwork using technical expertise. Works closely with employees, recruiters, compensation staff, payroll staff, and department management to ensure the timely and efficient processing of employee information. This is an advanced level clerical position, requiring tact, organization, prioritization, attention to detail, good judgment, bargaining unit contract interpretation, compensation policy interpretation, computer skills, and working within established deadlines. Incumbent is also responsible for the accurate and timely maintenance of employee personnel/benefits files. Internal contacts include management and staff, generally requiring clarification of change requests that are incomplete or appear inconsistent with MHS practices. Minimum Requirements Two years experience in a benefits or payroll position requiring independent decision-making, or four years prior personnel or payroll office experience. Experience in a highly unionized environment desired. Progressively more responsible experience with automated computer systems.
