HR Generalist

About:

Integrating both medical and psychosocial treatment modalities, Hythiam, Inc. provides comprehensive behavioral health management services to health plans, employers, criminal justice, and government agencies. The company also researches, develops, licenses and commercializes innovative and proprietary physiological, nutritional, and behavioral treatment programs. Hythiam currently offers initial disease management offerings for substance dependence that integrate medical and behavioral treatments, including its proprietary PROMETA® Treatment Program for alcoholism and dependence to stimulants. The PROMETA Treatment Program, which integrates behavioral, nutritional, and medical components, is available through licensed treatment providers.

Role:

The Human Resources Generalist will maintain oversight and recommendations around the core HR functions including: Company policies and procedures, compensation, benefits and safety, employee relations, management training, HRIS and compliance.

Duties:Manage and perform all aspects of employee benefit administration including developing employee rewards and recognition program, reconciling monthly benefit invoices, conducting audits of benefits enrollment data in HRIS system, responding to employee benefit inquiries in timely manner, coordinating Workers’ Compensation claims and managing FMLA leaves of absence. Play an active role in yearly benefits open enrollment program.Counsel employees and management on interpretation and application of Company Human Resources policies and procedures and all applicable federal and state laws.  Monitor compliance and report concerns to Senior Management.Provide employee relations support to management and employees; investigate issues and recommend resolutions. Facilitate programs to influence employment development and retention including individual development plans, performance improvement plans.Partner with supervisors to productively carry out new hire orientations and exit interviews. Facilitate personnel requests and process changes in HRIS.Lead and facilitate the Safety and Social committee.

Education and Experience:

 

1.  3-5 years experience in a Human Resources Generalist role.

2.  Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management.

3.  Exceptionally well organized, detailed oriented with excellent follow through.

4.  Strong analytical skills.

5.  Thorough knowledge of state and federal employment laws.

6.  Proficiency in MS Office and/or ADP experience a plus.

7.  Bachelor's degree in related field, HR Certification a plus.
