HIPPA Liaison

Our client has a immediate need for a HIPPA Liaison with the following experience: Medical Insurance Experience (to include ability to read insurance statements) Strong customer service background (this role is a advocate/liaison between the patients) Ability to work with stringent deadlines (turnaround on work list items is generally 24-hours) Compassion for patients and their need for immediate and efficient service Microsoft Office Products to include Intermediate Excel experience This role has the potential for permanent placement provided the candidate is a good fit and works the appropriate contracted time required.   RESPONSIBILITIES: • Research and assist Social Workers with problematic premium requests • Review department reports to follow up on unpaid premium requests, missing premium requests and missing HIPPA authorization forms. • Clearly communicate in a professional, friendly manner with Co-workers, Social Workers, Case Workers, and various third party organizations, regarding premium requests. • Other duties as assigned by Manager. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED / QUALIFICATIONS: • High school graduate. • 12 months of general office experience, preferably in the medical field. • Customer service and team oriented. • Medical terminology a plus. • Understanding of health insurance. • Insurance verification experience helpful. • Good communication, organizational, and analytical skills. • Computer literate, with working knowledge of software programs, such as MS Excel, Access, Outlook, and Word.  For immediate consideration, apply via email with WORD doc resume to cathy.stevens@onassignment.com Contact Email: Apply by Email Company:  On Assignment Healthcare Staffing Phone Number: 714 979 0871 Fax Number:  866 872 9646 Salary:  16.00 - 18.00 USD /hour Job Status:  Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project, Employee Category:  Medical/Health Work Experience:  1+ to 2 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Apply Now!
