- Masters degree is required The Hunterdon Behavioral Health, Family Crisis Intervention Unit is searching for a part-time Family Crisis Therapist. The purpose of this position is to diffuse and stabilize juveniles and families in a crisis, as part of the Family Crisis Intervention Unit. Program criteria are established by state guidelines. The position uses crisis intervention and case management skills. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Provides crisis counseling, brief treatment to Hunterdon County youth. Services youth on-site, in schools, treatment facilities and in the community. Provides crisis intervention services, assessment, and counseling. Works with the family court systems per the FCIU and state guidelines. MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related Human Services field. MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1-2 years post graduate experience in mental health services and crisis intervention training preferred. Valid driver's license. Must pass a criminal history check, and finger printing is required. Crisis intervention skills and clinical training.Knowledge of schools and mental health systems; positive interpersonal skills; good communication skills and public speaking ability.
