Group Home Manager

Responsible for the oversight and management of a group home where adults with developmental disabilities reside.  Incumbent is responsible for ensuring the needs of the Individuals living in the group home are met in all areas of service.  Incumbent is responsible for ensuring basic systems are in place and operating successfully within assigned site. This includes medication administration, laundry, shopping, menu and meal planning and the maintenance and safety of the site. Position interfaces with staff, peers, senior management, families, and neighbors.

Incumbent performs the duties listed below in addition to other related duties:

 -  Interviews applicants and makes hiring recommendations.

-  Plans and implements a daily residential schedule.

-  Trains and supervises direct support staff.

-  Meets with direct support stafff team weekly, documents meeting     minutes  and meets with direct support staff individually each month to support and train them in the perormance of their essential job duties.

-  Monitors and documents staff performances. Conducts performance appraisals, conducts investigatory meetings and generates disciplinary statements.

-  Processes all incident and accident reports and human rights issues in a timely manner according to policy/procedure.

-  Enforces agency training mandates.

 -  Position requires some local travel.

Position requires on call responsibilities and some off hours work.
