For moreinformation, visit the Hospitals Web site at www.phoenixchildrens.com POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Annual Leadership Giving, the Annual Giving Officer is responsible for the design, oversight, and implementation of the annual giving program at Phoenix Childrens Hospital Foundation. Efforts for soliciting and securing gifts for the annual fund will be centered on direct mail, e-communications, telemarketing, and various other annual fund giving vehicles, all in alignment with the overall strategic plans for the Foundation and Hospital. It is expected that the Annual Giving Officer will have a strong background in fundraising, communications, and marketing, coupled with a keen interest in and appreciation for the values and mission of Phoenix Childrens Hospital and Foundation. CB Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Five to seven years experience in fund development, preferably with an emphasis in annual giving programs. Additional experience in public relations, marketing, or external relations desired, preferably within the context of a healthcare organization or a large non-profit organization.2. Bachelors degree required.3. Expertise of direct mail and direct marketing techniques and methods, including segmentation and data-mining.4. Extensive familiarity with fundraising Raisers Edge.5. Proven skills in organizational planning and management, interpersonal, written, and verbal communications.6. Affinity with the overall mission of Phoenix Childrens Hospital.7. Personal characteristics associated with successful development professionals, including a vigorous work ethic, sound judgment, impeccable integrity, demonstrated initiative, appropriate professional appearance, and attitude and personality to work effectively with colleagues, Phoenix Childrens Hospital physicians and caregivers, senior hospital leadership, volunteers and constituents.
