Join us in Portland, Oregon. Financial Planning Director In this role, you will be responsible for cost accounting (decision support), performance reporting, pricing, and financial planning. You will also organize and manage the capital approval process within the organization, up to $1B, which produces the regional operating and capital strategic financial plan, multi-year projections, quarterly re-forecast of the next eight quarters, budget, rate setting, member forecasting, and monthly analysis of results. Additional duties include staffing specific initiatives including business cases and performance reporting. The qualified candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and be a CPA, as well as possess 10+ years of accounting and planning experience in a billion dollar, capital-intensive business. Management experience directing complex financial organizations is also necessary, as is knowledge of the health insurance industry methodologies for revenue forecasting, including price and membership specifics and IBNR. Candidates should also be familiar with transforming reports, data, and graphs into effective presentations, and must be comfortable in a network environment (accessing servers, using modems and e-mail, developing electronic databases).
