Financial Counselor

ProCure Treatment Centers, Inc. is a growing cancer treatment organization specializing in proton therapy healthcare. We are currently seeking a Financial Counselor based in Oklahoma City, OK.

General Description:

The Financial Counselor is responsible for reviewing demographic, employment and insurance data necessary for payment for proton therapy treatment and verifies insurance coverage and benefits of our patients. Performs financial screening, making financial arrangements and assisting self-pay patients find alternative ways of meeting their financial obligation including but not limited to financial hardship screening and payment plans.   Works with Billing and Intake Managers to understand policies and procedures on establishing payment plans with patients based on pre-determined ability to pay and prompt payment options available to patients.  Will also assist in the development and monitoring of Intake Center budget.

 

Work Experience Requirements:

 

Ideal candidate will possess experience in third party billing and collection processes to insure payer information is obtained and documented for efficient billing and collection; and experience in functions to include registration, admissions, financial hardship concepts, third party eligibility and enrollment, and a working knowledge of insurance and other funding sources.

  Individual who can thrive in a fast paced environment. Exceptional customer service skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Command of English language; bi lingual in Spanish a plus Fluent in the electronic environment including email, Microsoft office products Time management and organization skills

Job will involve travel to ProCure’s Training and Development Center for orientation and annual training, as well as travel to other network centers for conferences from time to time.

 

·         Bachelor´s degree in Accounting, Business or a related field preferred

·         A minimum of 3 years experience in a healthcare billing/registration/accounting.
