Greater Philadelphia Health Action, Inc. was founded in 1970 for the purpose of providing comprehensive healthcare services to low income and vulnerable citizens of the City of Philadelphia. Over the last 35 years, GPHA has grown to include six (6) health centers, a day care and child development center and two (2) behavioral health care centers. GPHA, Inc., is an expanding health care system seeking committed professionals to work as a  (FT/PT) Nursing Coordinators. Our Nursing Coordinators are responsible to perform timely and accurate assessment of 'walk-in' patients; prioritize 'walk-in' patient visits according to disease acuity; assign 'walk-in' patients to the appropriate provider. Coordinate the flow of patients through direct medical and allied health services to ensure efficiency and minimize cycle time. Provide counseling and health education to patients and their families according to need, provider orders or patient request, including pre- and post-HIV antibody test counseling. Provide prenatal education classes. Must be a graduate from an accredited program in nursing. Currently licensed as an RN or LPN in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with at least two (2) years clinical experience in an ambulatory setting desirable. Candidate will need to be creative and deal with a diverse population. Must have good oral and written skills. Bilingual (Spanish speaking) candidate a plus.
