FAMILY SPECIALIST CLINICIAN

 

JOB DESCRIPTION INCLUDES:  The Family Specialist Clinician will be the primary clinician to work with families and skilled sponsors in their homes. The Family Specialist will assist families in dealing with behavioral and psychiatric problems of individuals with developmental disabilities. The Clinician will conduct clinical assessments in the home, develop behavioral intervention strategies, provide counseling, crisis support and education on psychiatric and behavioral issues. The Family Specialist will be the SCCAT liaison to various family groups and organizations. The Clinician will promote the SCCAT program and provide educational opportunities to the family groups.

 

QUALIFICATINS INCLUDE:  Ph.D or Masters Degree in Psychology, Marriage & Family Counseling, Social Work,  Counseling or other health related fields.Two years experience in working with in the field of Developmental Disabilities and or mental health.Training or work with family systems.Knowledge of the Developmental Disability and Mental Health systems.Proficient in use of computer.
