Our client, an established company with offices in San Jose and Antioch, is seeking an experienced Insurance Billing Manager in Antioch, CA.

Insurance Billing Manager
In this challenging and fast paced position, you will oversee a staff of 22 to 40 agents. You will need to be a strong leader willing to challenge your staff while coaching and mentoring for above average performance daily and monthly. We will rely on you heavily to ensure your team meets deadlines, coordinate activities and schedule work assignments for our new Fortune 500 Clients.
The successful candidate experience and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Five plus years in a management role for the healthcare industry prefer ambulatory and/or optical insurance billing experience; hospital, healthcare facility, clinics, physician practice or a health insurance company are acceptable.Experience managing a staff of insurance billing agents over 20 people.Strong leadership skills required, ability to mentor, coach and develop staff.Great attitude with positive outlook.Good understanding of how to get the best work from people.Ability to deal with staff in a fair and equitable manner consistently.Able to effectively communicate with clients, staff, patients and management.Maintain a high standard of quality.Solid understanding of HIPPA and privacy laws.Strong PC and system skills.Experience using an electronic billing system a must.Understand importance of adhering to professional standards, company policies and procedures, following federal and state laws to protect the company and clients.Good understanding of coding in a healthcare practice essential. Knowledge of federal regulations governing Medicaid and Medicare managed care contracts and fee schedules a plus.Responsible for timely filling of claims, charge and post payments, follow up on denied insurance claims. Monitor claims for missing information.Attention to detail, good organizational skills, problem solving, critical thinking and strong time management skills are necessary.Ability to follow through on multiple tasks and stay calm under pressure in a fast paced environment.Comfortable working independently and with a team; knows when to ask questions.Will manage both locations with one supervisor at each location.Agents are billing for optical and ambulance accounts.Ensure timely billing and produce daily, weekly and monthly reporting on claims billed and paid.Initiate a quarterly commission structure for department.
