The American Red Cross is the largest supplier of blood, plasma and tissue products in the United States.  Near 6,000,000 donations are made at Red Cross blood drives and sent to more then 3,000 hospital nationwide. People undergoing surgery, accident victims, cancer patients, hemophiliacs and others depend on the American Red Cross Services. 

 

Equipment Technician



Join our team in our Dedham Massachusetts location. 





 

Key responsibilities include electronic entry of information, preparation/routing and filing of physical documents, and tracking of in-process activities. Will maintain and support related equipment for the New England Region of the American Red Cross.  This includes all equipment associated with the blood supply such as Blood pressure, heat sealers, apheresis equipment, etc.  This individual will manage corresponding paperwork relating to the inventory. 

 



Some local travel may be required.

 



Qualifications:

 



A minimum of one year of equipment experience with equipment in a regulated environment (hospital, laboratory or, manufacturing environment) desired.

 

Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.

 

Good analytical, problem solving skills and excellent attention to detail required.

 

Knowledge of basic principals of federal regulatory and/ or quality assurance practices.

 

Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide variety of staff through out the region. 

 

Intermediate level ability on Microsoft Word required, exposure to Excel and Access desired.
