Position Summary:

Primarily responsible to plan and carry out direct sales and customer service activities. Maintain and develop sales of pharmaceuticals, med/surgical supplies or capital equipment within long term care pharmacy provider accounts or others, in accordance with agreed business plans. The RAR works in conjunction with a National Account Manager and a Personal Account Representative toward targeted, specific goals for overall Region.

 

Essential Job Functions :

 

RAR Position is an entry level job focusing on sales and customer service of MHA’s largest business unit.

 Maintain and develop a computerized customer and prospect database. Plan and carry out direct sales and customer service activities (principally direct personal visits) to agreed budgets, sales volumes, values, product mix and timescales. Develop ideas and create sales opportunities for MHA products and services to long-term care providers for contracts. Respond to and follow up sales inquiries by post, telephone, and personal visits. Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support, and liaison with internal staff. Develop relationships with the pharmaceutical industry (e.g. wholesalers, associations, manufacturers, etc.) Monitor and report on sales activities to customer contacts and provide relevant management information. Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys. Utilize all MHA sales and marketing reports as value added services to enhance opportunities for our pharmacy providers. Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organizational development. Manage and communicate the external sales and marketing activities developed by internal marketing, senior management and clinical research. Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills. Job Skill Set : 

 Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to travel. Job requires 75% travel within region. Region includes MT,WY,MN,CO,KS,IA,NEStrong analytical and organizational skills. Ability to manage a territory and coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint. Ability to work with integrated computer database systems. Ability to work with Team on regional projects



Preferred Skills:Customer Service Experience. Experience within Medical field and knowledge of Medicare Part D

 

Education Requirements:

  Bachelors degree.
