Donor Services Analyst
Responsible for reviewing and conducting plans, systems and analyses for Donor Services projects and to help the Great Lakes Region reach its annual collections goal. Obtains and analyzes a wide variety of data and helps the department create new databases, analyses and reports of donor and sponsor information. Must be able to work effectively with all levels of field, management and staff on a wide variety of complex projects to assist with strategy development, planning, donor segmentation and other marketing analyses and deployment of resources and information. Major Responsibilities: 1. Develops and maintains annual collections calendar to meet the goals of the region. 2. Contributes to the development of the strategic plan for collecting the Region’s collections goal. 3. Develops and produces reports on regional blood collections on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis. 4. Develops systems to analyze support strategies for mobile and fixed site collections, automated collections, blood collections operations and other Donor Services projects. 5. Develops systems to measure performance of Donor Services operations. 6. Develops and analyzes sources of donor and donation information, including external databases, existing internal databases and new internal databases such as the Data Warehouse and Collections Scheduling System. 7. Develops data maps and assesses the reliability of different data sources. 8. Directs the development and implementation of systems, processes and tools to meet the needs of Donor Services. 9. Directs analysis and reporting related to marketing data for use in planning, benchmarking, tracking and identifying opportunities using various external data sources and extensive Internet searches. 10. Consults with Donor Services management and recruiters on marketing analyses to insure understanding and proper utilization. Responsible for adherence to Cost per Unit Collected guidelines as established and has inputinto budgetary and collections goal development. 2. Operates independently under general guidelines from the Director, Donor Services. Actions and decisions based on broad precedent, discretion and judgement. 3. Assists and provides input into development of Donor Services staff skills for recruitment of donors and sponsors. 4. Has excellent working knowledge of the technical and regulated aspects of the Donor Services Department. Employment Qualifications ¨ Bachelors degree in business, marketing, systems or related field or equivalent experience.¨ Position requires basic management, supervisory and human relations’ skills in order to coordinate people and systems and motivate staff.¨ Must be able to communicate effectively and plan and utilize time efficiently.¨ Requires advanced analytical and computer skills.¨ Must have knowledge of systems design and management, strategic and logistical planning and work flow analysis.
