Donor & Plasma Processors/Phlebotomists
Talecris Plasma Resources specializes in the collection of human plasma used in therapies that help people everywhere maintain and enhance their quality of life. The growth of our Bloomington Plasma Donor Center has created the following immediate openings:
Donor Processor
Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction with the center to support long-term donation. Determine initial donor suitability through verification of accumulated data. Perform pre-donation medical screening in accordance with established guidelines. Perform new donor medical history screening in accordance with established guidelines. Maintain thorough familiarity of State and Federal Regulations, the Standard Operating Procedures manual, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP and all internal company procedures. Required: Prefer one (1) + year experience as a Medical Assistant or Nurse's Assistant. Certification preferred not required. Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal and PC skills. Bilingual preferred.
Plasma Processor
Collect and process required donor samples for processing / diagnostic testing, including weighing, listing and freezing units for final packing and shipment. Complete all necessary documentation. Maintain thorough familiarity and compliance with State and Federal Regulations, FDA-approved Standard Operating Procedures manual, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP, and all internal company procedures. Ensure proper working order of plasma freezer. Maintains active communication with other service areas to ensure accurate documentation and quality. Remove/quarantine bad product. Required: Prefer prior experience in a Plasma Donor Center or other medical environment. Bilingual preferred.
Phlebotomist
Assist in the preparation of the plasma collection process for plasma donors. Set-up and prepare all equipment and disposable supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis procedures. Perform plasma collection. Operate the automated plasmapheresis machines including response and evaluation of all autopheresis troubleshooting displays, documentation of exceptions, etc. Maintain thorough familiarity with all State and Federal Regulations, FDA approved Standard Operating Procedure Manual, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP as well as internal company procedures. May perform role of Donor Floor Technician as needed. Required: One (1) + year Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred. Must have good interpersonal and math skills. Bilingual preferred.
