Director of Women & Children
South Georgia Medical Center is currently seeking a Director of Women and Children. Under the direction of the Assistant Administrator for Patient Care Services, the Director of Women and Children will be responsible for the following :

1.    Provides line management for assigned areas/departments.
2.   Facilitates inter and intradepartmental communication and collaboration.
3.   Ensures the delivery of quality patient care.
4.   Ensures Department meets regulatory/accreditation standards.
5.   Manages department within established budgetary parameters.
6.   Represents the hospital in various local state and regional activities.
7.   May function as Nurse Administrator in the absence of the Nurse Administrator and Associate Nursing Administrator.
8.   Maintains an atmosphere, which ensures South Georgia Medical Center’s mission, vision, values, code of conduct, goals, policies and standards are consistently met.
9. Â Â Â Functions as relief Administrative Coordinator.

The qualifications include a current RN license in State of Georgia, and a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field required; Masters Degree in nursing or related field strongly         preferred. Must have a current CPR certification. Certification is preferred in appropriate specialty. Six (6) years of experience in nursing, including supervisory / leadership experience required. Excellent ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of diverse individuals and groups both internal and external to organization. Ability to lead and develop others individually and as a team, and to be an effective team member. Ability to adapt to new situations, set priorities, and utilize problem-solving techniques with minimal direction and appropriate collaboration. Demonstrates strong verbal, written and behavioral communication skills. Demonstrates current knowledge of patient care, leadership, and management principles.  Ability to operate various equipment (e.g., office, telecommunications, etc.).
