Tenet is currently seeking a Director of Patient Services (DPS) for West Boca Medical Center located in Boca Raton, FL . The DPS will report directly to the Revenue Cycle Services Director and will be responsible for the coordination of all front-end patient services at his/her designated facility. The DPS will also be responsible for the following: Overseeing the Scheduling, Pre-Registration, and Registration areas, as well as the Emergency Department, includes ensuring all policies and procedures are followed, managing all front-end hospital staff and communicating all relevant matters to the Facility Liaison/ National Insurance Center (NIC). Responsible for communication between the Director of the National Insurance Center (NIC), the NIC ‘Hub” (Medicare) Manager, designated facility CFOs and other entities responsible for accounts receivable. Also responsible for the approval of adjustment, charity, refund, and revenue reclassifications. Overseeing the development of facility departmental goals and objectives with Managers. Evaluates and devises methods for meeting goals. Responsible for ensuring all Service Level Agreements between the NIC and the facility are upheld and recommends changes and modifications where appropriate. Oversees the establishment of performance standards (quantitative and qualitative) at all front-end patient access sites, monitors and controls productivity, and encourages innovations for improvement. Communicates all performance goals and results to the Facility Liaison, NIC Director and hospital CFO. Analyzes identified problems to determine cause and desired resolution. Takes steps necessary to implement resolution. Works with managers to develop tactical plans and operating budgets to achieve strategic PFS goals and monitors progress toward goals throughout the year. Directs current month-end processes and the facilitation and accounting for month-end accruals Solves any problems related to his/her areas of assignment, and maintains a working knowledge of functions in this area.Qualifications Advanced knowledge of payment posting regulations and guidelines Advanced knowledge of Managed Care and Managed Care contracting Advanced knowledge of Hospital Accounts Receivable Management Intermediate level knowledge of Accounting Principles 4 year college degree in Business, Health Administration or related degree Master’s degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Business or related field preferred 7 — 10 years experience in patient accounting 3 — 5 years supervisory experience directing a multi-facility business officeTenet Healthcare offers a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes tuition reimbursement, fitness/toll-road reimbursement, scholarship programs, discounted cell phone service, 401(k) match and much more!
