Director of Health Education & Prevention Programs

Clinicas Del Camino Real, Inc. currently has an opportunity for a Director of Health Education and Prevention Programs to work in a truly unique and rewarding environment in beautiful Ventura County, California.We are a multi-service, JCAHO accredited healthcare organization whose mission is to provide quality, comprehensive and preventive, health care services to the underserved population.The Director of Health Education and Prevention Programs will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer and be responsible for the overall development and operation of the Health Education program.  The Director will also be responsible for the following:participate with administrative, medical, fiscal and other personnel in program planning, comprehensive health planning and evaluationestablish and maintain channels of communication for public cooperation and awareness of community problemsestablish liaison with other health agencies and programs for coordination of public health educationprovide staff orientation and trainingprepare funding proposals and may meet with state and federal officials regarding programsother functions as assigned.

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:Masters Degree in Public Health with Specialization in Health Education Minimum one year experience in community health setting with supervisory responsibilities or two years experience in a community or public health setting.
