Director of Business Development
We are seeking an energetic self-motivated and determined marketing professional. As the Director of Business Development you will develop and implement marketing plans and programs for the organization. In addition, the Director will oversee marketing staff and utilize available resources to execute marketing activities. Key objectives include establishing and managing marketing plans and budgets, creating awareness of the company, generating business leads through direct marketing and supporting the acquisition of new clients through targeting initiatives and the proposal process. The ideal candidate will possess superior verbal and written communication skills. A bachelors degree in Marketing or related field plus three to five years experience in a a senior marketing position required. Experience in the medical field preferred. All interested candidates should submit resume with cover letter and salary requirements to the e-mail listed.
Job Purpose:
Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.
Duties:
* Accomplishes business development human resource strategies by determining accountabilities; communicating and enforcing values, policies, and procedures; implementing recruitment, selection, orientation, training, coaching, counseling, disciplinary, and communication programs; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; reviewing compensation strategies.
* Directs business development organizational strategies by contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to functional strategic thinking and direction.
* Directs business development operational strategies by analyzing trends; preparing critical measurements; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; resolving problems; implementing change.
* Implements business development financial strategies by anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.
* Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
* Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
* Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financial; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
* Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
* Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements;Â integrating contract requirements with business operations.
* Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
* Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
