About Our FacilityHealthSouth Specialty Hospital of North Louisiana is a 90-bed free standing Long Term Acute Care hospital located in Ruston, LA with satellite facilities in Farmerville and Homer, Louisiana. It is incumbent that the successful candidate possesses a service oriented attitude treating patients, families and staff with the utmost respect. Using discretion and independent judgment, the Director is responsible for the coordination, development and evaluation of all outcome activities including but not limited to: Risk Management, Performance Improvement, Program Evaluation and the satisfaction Survey (patient/family). This position is also responsible for communication of results and development of strategies for improvement as a member of the facility leadership team. Additionally this position is responsible for compliance with all regulatory and licensing agencies, JACHO, Medicare, etc.Core Competencies:¿ Coordinating the hospital-wide implementation of the performance improvement plan¿ Collaborating with physicians, management, and hospital staff to operationalize the performance improvement plan¿ Monitoring standards of performance against established benchmarks¿ Facilitating committees and teams for performance improvement ¿ Guiding the change process to improve quality and safety through training and execution¿ Coordinating the management of feedback from patients, families, employees, and physicians regarding the quality, safety and satisfaction of the care¿ Reviewing, tracking, and trending measures of success¿ Analyzing variances and implementing action plans as appropriate¿ Monitoring the entire patient process from preadmission to discharge to ensure quality of care with efficient use of resources¿ Understands healthcare operations, legal issues, competition, and trends and applying them to operationsTotal education, Vocational, Training, and Experience: Bachelor¿s degree in preferably a health care related field, requires experience in interpretation of raw data and comparative analysis, experience in conducting educational in-services, experience in coordinating and supervising accreditation/certification survey activities for JCAHO, CMS, State licensure and demonstrated experience in working effectively with multiple departments on confidential issues in a positive, constructive manner.Skills and Abilities1. Minimum 3 years work experience or equivalent in a facility setting, preferably in LTAC.2. Experience in Risk Management systems and experience in working with the public on issues related to satisfaction/complaints.
