Developing, implementing, and administering the system-wide strategy for leadership development, including physician leadership development, to ensure that Aurora has a well developed, diverse bench of employees and physicians prepared to move into leadership roles at all levels of the organization.
Facilitating development, implementation, and evaluation of system-wide strategy for leadership development, including leadership development for physicians.
Collaborating in the development and implementation of system-wide talent management and human capital management strategies, systems and processes.
Developing and implementing systems and processes that identify, develop and support high potential leaders in the organization.
Developing and implementing systems and processes that ensure the effective and efficient onboarding of new leaders.
Leading the system-wide leadership development advisory group.
Developing and maintaining leadership competencies for all levels of leadership.
Developing leadership performance review processes and strategies, and ensuring that the leadership performance review system is aligned with leadership competencies.
Accountability for the development, implementation, and monitoring of plans and budgets (expense, assets, production, projects). Developing and administering policies and procedures to accomplish department-specific and organizational initiatives.
Being accountable for coordinating an integrated, comprehensive system-wide approach to effectively communicate and deliver the organization's mission and vision.
Responsibility for understanding and adhering to the Aurora Health Care Code of Excellence and for ensuring personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws that affect Aurora's business.
General Qualifications
Knowledge of organizational development/psychology/behavior/communication, leadership development, human resources and general business practices, equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a minimum of a regionally accredited bachelor's degree program.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform this job are typically acquired through seven years progressively responsible experience in employee and organizational development that includes experiences in leading organizational development functions including leadership onboarding, leadership development, and internal organizational development consulting. Leadership experience should include management of staff, budgets, programs and processes at a manager level or above.
Experience and knowledge in integrated talent management, including the administration of automated systems for leadership onboarding and performance management.
Excellent platform, group facilitation, internal consultation, mediation, and leadership/executive coaching skills.
Excellent orientation, leadership development, and organizational development design and evaluation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, which is necessary to address difficult and controversial issues. Successful experience in achieving objectives in a complex, multi-facility, corporate setting, and matrix management environment.
Ability to identify, analyze, and recommend effective solutions to complex problems, and the ability to manage ambiguity and work through to accomplishment of objectives.
Knowledge of and the ability to: select and develop audio-visual resources to enhance the impact of leadership onboarding and leadership development programs; apply distance learning and computer-assisted technologies to support meetings and leadership development.
Strong client relationship building skills, a collaborative, team oriented approach, and possess political acumen.
