Clinical Consultant
Diligent Services Diligent Services is the clinical division of ARJO USA Inc, the world leader in patient handling for over 40 years. Diligent focuses on clinical process development, training and implementation of Safe Patient Handling and Movement programs within acute care and long term care facilities throughout the United States. Seeking Full-Time Clinical Consultants for Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region. Preferred candidate geographic locations includes Springfield MA, Albany NY, and Hartford CT. Interested candidates must have clinical designation as a RN, PT, or OT, plus a minimum 2 years in clinical practice. Experience in health care ergonomics, loss prevention, and/or safe patient handling desirable. Must have flexibility to travel.

Bachelor’s degree related to Nursing, Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy required with a preference for Masters Degree Minimum of three years management experience in acute/long term care, healthcare administration, risk management, occupational health and safety. Minimum of six months consultation experience in the field of risk management, occupational health, and/or healthcare ergonomics. Preferred home-based location includes Northeast/Mid-Atlantic, Albany, NY, Hartford, CT, and Springfield, MA. Must have flexibility to travel up to 80%
Job Description:

Works closely with ARJO Account Executives, Diligent Corporate Account Executives, Diligent Clinical Directors, and other Arjo/Diligent staff to ensure quality customer service within the region. Establishes and/or enhances business relationships with customers at all levels, taking prompt action to resolve complaints and/or address other customer concerns Identifies regional staffing needs, provide work assignments, and provide direct supervision for regional clinical consultants Maintains a result orientation and is determined to achieve injury prevention results Supports a team environment and involves the regional team in decision-making that affects themDomain: Administration

Provides a minimum of an every-six-month onsite observation review with each clinician Repeats equipment competency evaluation annually. Audits Clinical Consultant files/reports to assure the technical quality and timeliness meets the customer’s business needs, service plans are present, up-to-date, and distributed. Identifies regional staffing needs, provide work assignments, and provide direct supervision for regional Clinical Consultants Actively supports development of clinical staffDomain: Customer QA/Support
Demonstrates strong knowledge of client’s business and best practices Conducts periodic customer reviews with corporate representatives and primary servicing consultant to discuss data and evaluate program goals and objectives. Conduct onsite clinical services as needed. Demonstrates a high degree of responsiveness to customer requests/concerns Promotes the “partnership” concept actively with internal and customer contacts Insures and is determined to provide the highest quality clinical services Domain: Consultative/Leadership/Technical Expertise
Develops expertise in assessing and using ergonomic aids to reduce injuries in healthcare staff with a focus on techniques and aids to increase patient’s/ resident’s mobility Conducts onsite clinical services as necessary Develops increasing proficiency in consultative, facilitation and management skills Uses an active-learner model in directing own development plan Models and is recognized as a strong leaderDomain: Communication
Communicates regularly with Diligent Clinical Director. Works, proactively, with CAD, RSD, AE to secure new business for Diligent Seeks opportunities for public speaking on Diligent program at industry-sensitive national, regional, and local professional organizations and conferences Writes white papers and articles for internal/external professional publications
