ACLD is a leading not for profit agency on Long Island who for fifty years has been serving the needs of 3,000 children, teens and adults with developmental disabilities and their families. Our mission is to provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities to pursue an enviable life; to increase their independence and improve the quality of their lives in the community.
Nearly 1,000 full and part-time staff is employed across an array of more than 70 program sites in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
About the Opportunity
Provide a full day of comprehensive active programming for all assigned day hab consumers in the most integrated setting possible. Provide all direct service to consumers as required.
Assist consumers with daily living skills and communication skills both inside classrooms as well as in the community.
Positions are available in Bethpage and Hauppauge M-F 8:30-4:15
Qualifications
HS Diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of related experience or 2 years of MR/DD experience OR AA/BA degree
Position requires clean and valid NYS driver's license
Some experience preferred but training is provided
