One of the nation's premier academic medical centers seeks a ROCK STAR:
Data analyst / Report Writer
Leveraging our enterprise data warehouse, you will be able to integrate and present data from multiple dimensions and from a wide array of sources.
You will be responsible for the development of enterprise-wide reports based on the specific needs of multiple stakeholders across the organization; both clinical and business related.
Strong experience with SQL and report writing in a healthcare organization is a must.
(We use the SQL Server Reporting Services suite (SSRS))
General Responsibilities: Assess reporting needs of various departments through investigation, analysis, and evaluation to determine the desired results. Maintain data integrity and ongoing quality control of delivered reports. Work closely with all levels of end users, including clinicians, finance, and executive level staff, to quickly develop reports which will be used for quality and outcomes reporting, as well as strategic business decisions.
Required Education & Work Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required Minimum 3 years experience as a Business Analyst or Report Writer/Analyst. Minimum 5 years progressive experience in Information Technology. Experience in healthcare and knowledge of medical terminology;
o Including CPT, ICD9 codes, lab results, etc.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Extensive professional experience in data analysis and report design/development. Extensive knowledge of reporting programs and tools In-depth knowledge and experience with relational database concepts and query tools. Sound knowledge of SQL and data extraction methodologies. Strong report presentation skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
