Thomson Reuters regularly seeks Data Collection Specialists to join our team.   Assist in all aspects of data collection, processing, data quality report approval, and managing customer expectations for the processing of Explore and Care Discovery data. This position will work with offshore and other processing staff to ensure that data is completed on time and accurate, while appropriately managing customer expectations. Works directly with clients and internal staff to resolve problems with data submissions, resubmissions, data quality, and delivery issues related to the transmission and/or processing of such data. Works directly with clients to answer any questions that arise about processing their data in a timely and professional manner. Reviews the Data Quality reports that are generated from the processing of the client's data, assessing error rates and questioning unusual findings. Works with the client to resolve data quality issues and to obtain sign-off for database closure. Tracks and monitors incoming data submitted by clients using the published data submission schedules specific to that client account. Identifies clients who are delinquent in their data submission; calls those clients to have data sent.  Keeps management appraised of any client submission problems. Is familiar with and understands the different input formats; can assist other teams with client support when needed. Responsible for working with offshore and other processing staff to ensure data is completed accurately and in a timely fashion. Responsible for gathering reference data, working with the client on data resubmissions or cleansing, data validity, data integrity and analysis for the complete data life cycle. Ability to communicate both written and orally with external and internal clients regarding status reports/updates, problem resolution, product timelines, and ad hoc requests. 1-2 years experience in Microsoft Office and advance MS Access A thorough understanding of SQL and relational database management systems (RDBMS), such as Oracle, Informix, MS SQL Experience with UNIX specifically the ability to copy, review and manipulate files Must possess excellent verbal and written skills and exhibit professional demeanor to clients at all times Must possess multitasking ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality Must be able to address technical issues with technical and non-technical audiences  Must have strong organizational and quality assurance skills. Flexible to adapt to projects of differing scopes and changes in priority Must be self-directed and motivated, requiring minimal management assistance to accomplish day-to-day activities May be required to provide assistance outside of standard business hours Must be self motivated, detail oriented and a team player Thomson Reuters employees take pride in providing our customers around the world with information that is timely, accurate, unbiased and trusted.
