POSITION TITLE: Data Analyst / Report Writer Title Code:
SUMMARY: The Data Analyst / Report Writer is responsible for the analysis of complex business problems and assessing how information systems can solve them. This position encompasses the identification of data points for the MRO solution, participates in providing solutions for data migration and data cleansing, will work closely with the implementation team to ensure the data migration effort is successful, including scheduling and execution of the project plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serves as the primary contact for the MRO system, as assigned. Manages relationships with business units served by the system, as well as vendor(s) who provide products, support and/or other services relative to the system. • Is relied upon as a subject matter expert relative to the data for assigned systems, and as such provides training, mentoring and escalated support services to customers and to other IS staff. • Provides reports as needed by the Technical Business Analyst and Business Unit Subject Matter Experts for the data collection, data mapping, data migration effort. • Liaises with the Technical Business Analyst and Business Unit Subject Matter Experts to help the data collection, cleansing and data migration effort for the MRO solution. • Participates in Report requirement gathering and builds reports for the Business Unit. • Develop system specifications in data and activity flowcharts, state transition diagrams, and use cases or scenarios. Analyzes the system specification to develop requirements, test cases, and any other documentation relevant to the acquisition, development, and refinement of the system. This must often be carried out without sufficient documentation and support and requires a natural curiosity to investigate and ferret out needed data. • Develop project schedule that expresses all resource requirements, effort, and delivery dates. Update and be prepared to communicate project schedule on a weekly basis. • Follows change management policy and procedure relative to assigned systems by analyzing potential changes, creating and maintaining corresponding documentation as necessary, and coordinating pre and post-production testing. • Adheres to Air Methods policies and procedures as required to maintain regulatory compliance in both the activities of the position, as well as in the systems assigned. • Travels for training and other site visits, as well as conferences and continuing education as necessary. • Takes after-hour calls as required. • Available for non-standard work schedule as required. • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Education: Bachelor degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience: • Progressive and directly relevant experience including business analysis, business process reengineering, system design and/or development, QA, implementation and/or systems maintenance. • Project and/or program management • Managing vendor relationships • Experience in Sequel Server Reporting Services, Excel, Access, Crystal Reports and general knowledge of data base structures required. • Subject matter including purchasing, inventory control and/or aviation maintenance. Preferred:
Education: Masters degree in a related field
Experience: • 5 or more years managing complete systems lifecycle. • Prefer public company and/or aviation maintenance experience • Prefer background with aviation applications and general accounting.

• Travel up to 10% may be required for this position
