Data Analyst, Compensation
Sutter Health Support Services (SHSS) is the Support Center for the Sutter Health affiliates, which houses all non-medical support departments that are not provided at the affiliates. It provides expertise and guidance to support affiliate functional departments.The Data Analyst implements and supports assigned applications from both the application-user and technical perspectives, the technical aspects of product implementation/rollout and support. The incumbent will monitor the systems for data quality, efficiency, operation, and data integrity. This intermediate-skilled position assists in critical work in system analysis, design, development, documentation, and configuration as well as testing and training of the product. This position must be able to provide consulting expertise to internal customers with supported systems in order to deliver best practices from both a product and operations prospective.Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business with MIS emphasis, or related field is required. For applicants with degrees not related to Computer Science, significant specialized course work or experience in data analysis or database development is required. The equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Experience: Experience in leading the development and/or ongoing operational/maintenance support of Information Systems projects and systems analysis is required, preferably in a healthcare environment. Experience analyzing and supporting large projects is required. Experience in developing and maintaining data standards is required. Must have experience with developing methodologies for data access, data analysis, data mapping, and data transformation. Experience in the deployment and utilization of decision support tools in a healthcare environment is preferred. Experience with logical and physical data models is preferred. Familiar with Web Development, VB.Net, ASP.Net and C# is preferred. Detailed analysis skills in a technical environment are required, as is experience in the following areas: 2-3 years SQL Server Database experience 2-3 years MS Excel and Access (including macros) VBA language proficiency Reporting applications associated with an HRIS Knowledge: The Data Analyst must possess a broad perspective of the healthcare business and an understanding of day-to-day operations. Knowledge of data warehouse and decision support strategies is preferred. Background in developing data standards to support reporting and analysis, and business intelligence tools is required. Knowledge and understanding of data modeling and current trends in healthcare and data warehousing is preferred
