DIVISIONAL COMPLIANCE OFFICER

The Divisional Compliance Officer will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing HMA’s compliance program for all hospitals in the Division (approximately 6 – 8 hospitals per division).  This is a new position that requires an extremely self motivated and organized individual that can work independently and has at least three years of experience as a hospital compliance officer as well as experience with physician practices. You will be actively involved in training, audits, physician contract reviews, investigations, and reporting of activities.  Applicants must have a working knowledge of the False Claims Act, the Stark Law, the Anti-kickback Statute, and EMTALA. In addition, applicants must have excellent writing and speaking skills and be able to organize, prioritize and complete tasks within established time constraints. A college degree is required and an MBA, JD, or prior law enforcement and/or accounting background would be a plus. Applicants should be familiar with Microsoft excel and Microsoft access systems.
