DIRECTOR, PHYSICIAN RECRUITMENT

We are seeking a Director, Physician Recruitment to join our team of talented and dedicated associates.

 POSITION PURPOSE

 

This position is responsible for the design, planning, coordination and overall direction of physician recruitment and retention activities for Trinity Health Unified Enterprise Ministry® (UEM®).  The Director, Physician Recruitment, in collaboration with system leadership, Ministry Organizations (MOs) and physician leadership will develop and execute physician recruitment and retention strategies related to sourcing, interviewing, contracting and on-boarding candidates to meet the goals of integrating recruitment/retention strategy with the successful improvement, expansion and strengthening of Trinity Health community based and hospital sponsored physician practices. 

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

1.  Bachelor’s Degree in business, communications, human resources, marketing or a health-related field.  Masters Degree desirable (MBA, MHA, etc.).

 

2.  A minimum of five (5) years experience preferably in a leadership role in physician recruitment.

 

3.  Prefer CMSR certification or fellowship completion related to physician recruitment (American Academy of Medical Management certification or Association of Staff Physician Recruiters Fellow).

 

4.  Demonstrated excellent communication (both verbal and written), interpersonal and networking skills especially with physicians, medical staff leadership and administrative leadership.

 

5.  Must possess excellent organizational, analytical, prioritization and decision making skills, including the prioritization and execution of multiple critical assignments.

 

6.  Must have demonstrated successes in developing and implementing recruitment strategies and programs. 

 

7.  Must have a strong working knowledge of human resources, physician compensation, legal and contracting processes, state and federal employment laws, especially those effecting physician recruitment/retention. 

 

8.  Must have a strong working knowledge of physician credentialing and referencing guidelines.

 

9.  Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, team-oriented, shared leadership environment.

 

10.  Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

 

1.  Must be able to set and organize own work priorities, and adapt to them as they change frequently. 

 

2.  Must be able to work concurrently on a variety of tasks/projects in an environment that may be stressful with individuals having diverse personalities and work styles. 

 

3.  Must be able to travel to the various Trinity Health sites and national recruitment locations (65%) as needed.

 

4.  Must be able to effectively work by telephone and internet.

 

5.  Must possess the ability to comply with Trinity Health policies and procedures.
