Gateway Health Plan®, a managed care health plan, has a Database Administrator II opening in Pittsburgh, PA.
DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR II
Support the organization's moderately complex databases including: relational database design, application testing and data modeling, data integrity, database performance and database availability in accordance with the business continuity plan. Coordinate and monitor the loading of data from the transactional claims system into a data warehouse environment. Coordinate and monitor the loading of data from the data warehouse into a HEDIS reporting tool such as VIPS. Participation in and some leadership roles for various database activities and departmental project initiatives. Provide after hours and weekend support as required. Must comply with all corporate policies and procedures.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School/ GED.
• 5 years experience in IS with application developing or data analysis.
• 3 years experience in the following: database concepts, design and deployment, recovery techniques, performance monitoring and tuning, structured query language and scripting language.
• 3 years experience using Oracle or SQL Server.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree, healthcare industry experience, COGNOS, data warehousing, Toad.
