Performs a variety of tasks associated with Pathology surgical bench assisting including: specimen collection and triage, assisting the pathologist or pathologist's assistant and specimen accessioning. Operates and maintains departmental instruments. Maintains records & documentation required to manage the daily workflow and provide QC/QA monitors. Demonstrates interpersonal skills required to successfully perform as a team member in a constantly changing environment. Maintains confidentiality regarding all phases of laboratory work and findings. EXPERIENCE: Associates's degree with one year clinical lab experience or High School diploma with three years clinical lab experience.
