Description: 

 

The Crisis Worker provides consultation and assessment services to those patients presenting to the ER or other inpatient units with an emergent mental health status.  This may include other hospitals calling to transfer a patient in need of inpatient Behavioral Medicine attention. The Crisis Worker is expected to be available by pager for the shifts assigned, able to come to the hospital in a timely manner when needed.  Disposition planning requires teamwork in coordinating with physicians, nursing staff, collateral resources, patient, and family.

 

This position will be PRN (on-call) covering mainly graveyard shifts and weekends. 

 

Requirements:

 

CSW or equivalent licensure required.  LCSW or equivalent preferred. Crisis Work experience preferred.  Excellent customer service skills required.
