JOB DETAILS: Scheduled hours per week: 40.00, Begin and end Times: 8 AM TO 5 PM; Days of work: Monday - Friday SUMMARY: This position is ensures proper re-credentialing of physicians to comply with applicable legal and professional requirements, including the credentialing requirements of the JCAHO. The Credential Coordinator is responsible for managing the quality credentialing process for all members of the Medical Staff including physicians, podiatrists, and dentists, as defined by and in concurrence with the Allied Practitioner Manual. This position acts as liaison between Medical Staff Services and Quality and Resource Management Departments to provide quality physician credentialing data. REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEAssociates and/or Bachelors degree in Business or related field. Significant experience in health care may replace educational requirement. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGEExcellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently. Advanced knowledge of Medical Staff Credentialing. Basic understanding of JCAHO requirements as they relate to Medical Staff. Basic knowledge of provider enrollment process. Medical Staff database experience.KIND and LENGTH of EXPERIENCE3 yrs in health care setting.
