Credentialing Specialist

- Bachelors degree is required - 1-2 years experience is required Responsible for coordinating the credentialing process for the Medical Staff Services Department. Work includes responsibility for coordination of all credentialing aspects of the office, including organizing, and conducting procedures required for credentialing and privileging. Duties are planned and executed in conformance with established policies, regulations, and laws. Interprets, explains and follows all regulatory guidelines, including medical staff bylaws, fair hearing plan, rules and regulations and policies as it applies to the credentialing process. Works with medical staff leadership and hospital clinical staff for the approval and ongoing review of these practitioners. Monitors and revises credentialing and privileging forms as needed. Skills include: Considerable knowledge of medical staff services credentialing and privileging principles, methods and procedures. Ability to develop and implement methods and procedures for improvement of the comprehensive and specialized credentialing program.
