Counselor (Mental Health) - Christian Faith

  We are seeking an exceptional mental health counselor to join our busy private practice.  We are dedicated to providing unparalleled clinical care to our patients, and to integrating the truths of the Christian faith for patients who approach life from a position of faith.  We are fortunate to be busy even while doing less than 10% managed care. The ideal candidate will have exceptional psychotheological integration skills, a professional demeanor and the desire to work in a growing practice. Presently we are four clinical psychologists (subspecialties in behavioral medicine, rehabilitation psychology, child & adolescent) and are recruiting to replace one of our two counselors who is leaving.  We would welcome someone with expertise in eating disorders, women’s issues or some other specialty niche.

          You will be free to be a practitioner since our five person support staff handles the business details.  To offer evening hour appointments we work four 10-hour days, so every weekend is 3 days long.  Florence is a family oriented small city that enjoys a "big city" tertiary care hospital serving 10 counties; it’s the best of both worlds. Housing and cost of living are very reasonable. The community is very open to professionals practicing from a position of faith. Malpractice, worker's compensation and individual health insurance provided.  The position is salaried for the first year and, if the candidate is licensed, moves to a base plus bonus arrangement in the second year.
