We have an excellent opportunity for a Heart Walk Director in our Dallas office.The American Heart Association is seeking a high energy, competitive, and achievement driven individual to be part of the Dallas Heart Walk Team! This position requires someone who has experience with large fundraising goals and large events. If you have a strong fundraising or sales background where you traveled in an assigned territory OR if you have an event coordination background coupled with sales or fundraising we want to hear from you! Your daily activities will include securing and growing major sponsorships, managing, motivating, and training high-level volunteers, orienting team captains and top walkers, planning and executing several large events, collaborating with AHA staff, and helping to manage the Greater Dallas area Heart Walk Team. ' Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of fundraising or related outside sales experience (4 yrs preferred)' Demonstrated knowledge of Dallas area businesses and philanthropic communities' Skill in developing and managing budgets, creating proposals, creating and executing event timelines' Ability and willingness to daily travel in the Dallas area' Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals, build relationships, multi-task, and work as part of a team Starting salary based upon qualifications, plus performance bonus eligibility and great benefits.
