The selected candidate will have fundraising responsibilities in the northwest Harris County area.The successful candidate will plan, implement, and evaluate several annual events: Go Red for Women luncheon, Heart Walk, and Heart Ball. These events will combine to raise at least 1.0M net by bringing together corporate partners, medical leaders, community leaders, and volunteers of the community to raise awareness, of heart disease and stroke, the number #1 and #3 killer in America.Responsibilities include: ' Conducting sales calls to generate new business and manage existing companies' Developing relationships with volunteers, sponsors & key corporate & community leaders' Goal setting with corporate companies and individuals to raise funds and awareness ' Coordinating event efforts' Networking within the local area, and recruiting and retaining our valued volunteers Experience:' Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience' 3+ years of successful fund raising, marketing or outside sales' Strong knowledge of the Harris County and surrounding area business, medical, and philanthropic communities' Ability to accomplish results through strong volunteer recruitment and management, proven track record in meeting sales/fundraising goals' Organization, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are a must' Candidates must be results driven with the ability to multi task, and must also be willing and able to travel within the assigned territoryAttracting talented, committed employees means offering a competitive benefits package, ongoing professional development and training, and a diverse and inclusive environment in which to work and grow.
