Contract Administrator
Childrens Medical Center Dallas has an immediate opening for a Contract Administrator. The position is responsible for facilitating and coordinating Hospital-wide contracts to finalization, including but not limited to drafting, negotiation, and tracking of individual contracts. Work closely with Childrens Legal Department to draft templates and original contracts and agreements, serve as a central resource for information regarding contractual terms and conditions, Risks and Liabilities, to Children's Legal, Administration and Finance Departments. Track applicable state, and federal laws and regulations, as well as Joint Commission Accredition Standards and Policies and Procedures to ensure Hospital compliance with same in each contract. Requires a familarity with Children's policies and procedures; knowledge of contractual concepts and elements; and the ability to negotiate with internal and external parties. Advise management regarding contractual responsibilities, rights, obligations and risks.
Requirements include Bachelor of Science, major in Government and minor in Business. Experience in litigating complex commercial paper; experience in drafting contracts for businesses. Computer literate, Word, Access, Excel and e-mail. Written and oral communication skills. Strong research and analytical skills. Flexible, creative, ability to anticipate problems and begin early to develop solutions; independent thinker. Knowledge of contract law, Texas law regarding contracts, the legal system.
