POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for new business implementations as well as maintenance and upgrades to Schaller Anderson business application systems, primarily the QCSI/Trizetto suite of applications. This position provides support to the Configuration Analyst II and III in the Business Application Management (BAM) department. The Configuration Analyst I performs analysis of business rules and regulatory requirements, researches potential configuration issues, gathers information, develops system solutions, performs testing, implements and documents configuration solutions within a change control environment. Works with other departments as well as client (health plan) to identify and implement efficiencies and optimize claim adjudication.

Fundamental Components & Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
- Single point of contact for internal/external users.
- Identifies and tracks customer issues and resolves them through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems.
- Knowledge of Aetna systems and understands system interfaces, back-end rules/logic, and edits.
- Ability to consistently manage multiple priorities.
- Consistently provides accurate information to guide the decision making/resolution process.
- Recommends the elimination of unnecessary or redundant functions.
- Contributes to the organization's Business Plan and KPM's/SLA's.
- Identify trends in customer contact issues, assist with determining business impact and recommendations for change, improvement.
- Recreates system issues for appropriate analysis of root cause.
- Performs related duties as assigned or requested
Required Skills:
EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
FUNCTIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE
- Claims: Claims Administration & Analysis
- Information Technology: Application maintenance & support
- Information Management: Data acquisition, data management, programming and documentation
- Claims: Claims Administration medical claim analyses
- Information Technology: Testing
REQUIRED SKILLS
