Coding Compliance Officer
For the last 25 years, EPBS/Intermedix has set the standard for quality in Physician Coding, Billing and Practice Management Services. Our continued growth allows us to add an opportunity for a Medical Coding Compliance Officer. This person will be responsible for helping to establish coding policy and procedure, oversee Coding Quality Assurance and Training, and provide documentation education. Other responsibilities include identifying, investigating and resolving compliance issues related to the coding of Physician charts and billing/reimbursement for services. In addition, the Coding Compliance Officer will coordinate audit activities including working with Federal & State agencies. Requires excellent presentation, organization, and communication skills in stressful situations. This person will also work closely with Senior Management including the Corporate Compliance Officer. The right individual will have extensive knowledge and experience in the medical coding field, specifically related to the auditing of physician codes. Clinical experience is helpful and relevant coding certification is preferred, though not required. Knowledge of Medicare regulations as they pertain to Emergency Medicine Physician billing is also a strong preference. Excellent working environment and benefits are all part of the package.
