Posting Summary

Drexel University College of Medicine is currently offering a challenging and fulfilling career opportunity to join a dynamic IT team that is installing a large electronic medical record system. This position supports systems implementation and client support process for Health Information Systems Clinical/EMR applications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with emphasis on Information Systems or health care in Systems Analysis is preferred.

Five year related experience in healthcare (IT) implementing an electronic medical records in a large academic facility. Preference in delivery of Allscripts Touchworks Suite.

Possess understanding of HIPAA Privacy, Transaction, and Security standards.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.

Experience with HL7 interfaces to include registration and/or charge interfaces a plus.

IDX FlowCast (web 3.0) experience (BAR, EWS, TES, DBMS) a plus.

Knowledge of technical design concepts for large academic physician practice environment a plus.

Strong communication skills (verbal & written) are required.

Responsibilities

Provide project-focused expertise on clinical systems - including interface configuration, workflow re-design, and project timeline and resource development. Focus on implementation of Allscripts Touchworks EMR modules such as Lab, Radiology, RX, Document Scanning and charge capture.

Conduct Allscripts Touchworks application support services for internal and external customers via Footprints issue ticketing system.

Work directly with physicians, clinical administrators, nursing and administrative practice staff to assimilate and build per the defined requirements, conduct analysis and recommend solutions for the implementation and maintenance of clinical systems and integration into practice management system.

Analyzes current and future user requirements, procedures, and issues to develop information system solutions to improve and support business unit operations.

Reports to Allscripts Team Lead Analyst.
