Clinical Support Staff Manager
Essential Responsibilities
· Hire, train and manage staff necessary for work on Phase I Investigations (Primarily Research Associates and Research Technicians).
· Review protocols, determine staffing needs and work with Senior Study Manager to ensure that studies are staffed adequately.
· Responsible for scheduling for Physicians, Study Managers, Senior Research Associates, Research Associates and Research Technicians.
· Coordinate with all support service areas to ensure coverage (e.g. catering, supplies, clinic set-up, screening recruiting, etc.).
· Update management and Principal Investigator on study progress, problems or operational issues in a timely manner.
· Be available during client visits to describe procedures and accompany clients on facility inspections.
· Inventory and order supplies to ensure that standard supplies are maintained at par levels. Also ensure that study specific supplies are ordered in a timely fashion.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university, five years management experience, preferably managing full time and part time staff in a research environment and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Strong leadership skills.
· Good organizational skills.
· Very high attention to detail and follow through.
· Must be available for regular weekend and evening hours.
