Clinical Nurse Manager - Emergency Department
Marin General Hospital, a not-for-profit facility, opened in May 1952. It is the largest acute care hospital in Marin County and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Marin General Hospital is licensed for 235 acute care beds and works in close partnership with Novato Community Hospital to provide for the health care needs of 175,000 residents of Marin County. Marin General Hospital affiliated with Sutter Health in 1996. Recent additions include a new Cardiac Cath Lab (opened in November 2006), and the installation of a new $1.6 million CT Scanner.Assists the Director in the day to day management in the Emergency department and serves as their designee in their absence. Directs, evaluates and supervises activities, programs and projects in patient care center which achieve department goals, maintain quality patient care delivery and promote professional standards in accordance with hospital policy, JCAHO, Title XXII, and CA state regulations.Graduate of an accredited nursing program. A Bachelors degree in Nursing or Health management preferred. Three years of acute care clinical experience with recent and progressively more responsible management experience leading to demonstrated fiscal, human resources, and operational efficiency competence. Experience in the areas of ER is preferred. Current California RN license and current certification in BLS-HP, TNCC, ACLS, and PALS required.
