Clinical Facilitators

Standard Position Description: Designs and implements development training programs to enhance the effectiveness of managers and teams to increase organization productivity and customer satisfaction. Assesses critical business issues and designs organization development and strategic plans to enhance company performance. Facilitates design and implementation of reengineering and/or reorganization efforts. Advises on team design and performance. Provides development, coaching and training managers on leadership skills.

 

Specific Job Description:  The candidate filling this position will be located and performing the work at the North Chicago Veterans Affairs Medical Center (NCVAMC) and the Naval Hospital Clinic Great Lakes (NHCGL).

 

The candidate will be apart of a team that will apply industry standard functional gathering methodologies to produce clinical documentation for a joint DoD/VA medical facility. 

 

Routine Tasks Performed:

- Facilitates Working Group sessions

- Coordinates with SMEs

- Gathers and documents requirements

- Analyzes requirements

- Coordinates with SMEs

- Participates in meetings with designated personnel to define, implement or monitor the progress of the project.

 

Required Skills:

- Experience with facilitating working groups with the intent to extract detailed information about work flow, data requirements, and business processes from non-technical personnel

- Experience in a hospital/clinical environment

- Experience with requirements gathering and documentation

 

Desired Skills:

- Experience in a hospital/clinical environment

- Experience within the VA or DoD healthcare environments

- Experience with CLINICAL requirements documentation

- Recognized specialty courses or experience in IT life cycles including requirements gathering, systems analysis, systems design, and program design

 

Typical Minimums

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
